Andrea Sears

Vision Therapist

Andrea graduated from Andrews University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Family Studies. She completed a Child Life Specialist internship at Bronson Children’s Hospital, which is where her love for working with children began. After graduation, she worked within the medical field until she transitioned to the public sector. During that time she worked with a lot of different individuals and families, helping them on their journey to success.

She first heard about vision therapy while attending the Zeeland Christmas Parade. EagleEye passed out a card that listed symptoms that her own son was struggling with. After witnessing the amazing improvements that her son made throughout vision therapy, she decided that she wanted to become a vision therapist and help others in the same way. In doing so she has now been able to combine her passion for working with children and families with helping to provide tools that will help them succeed throughout life. She loves seeing patients get excited when they accomplish a goal and celebrating those achievements with them. She looks forward to helping patients appreciate the world in a new way.

Andrea has lived along the Lake Michigan coastline in St. Joseph, Petoskey and Holland areas. She has been married for 18 years to her husband, Matt and they have two children; Ethan and Caleb. Most of their time is spent outside at the baseball fields; camping; fishing; or hiking.
