Dr. Neil Renaud, OD, FAAO, FOVDR
Neuro-Developmental & Rehabilitative Optometrist
Dr. Neil Renaud completed his Bachelor of Science degree at Michigan State University in 2013 and Doctor of Optometry degree in 2017 at University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio, TX. He was honored to receive the COVD Excellence in Vision Therapy award and Good-Lite Pediatrics award upon graduation. He then pursued an additional year of education and experience in a residency program specializing in vision therapy, vision rehabilitation, and pediatrics outside Seattle, WA. Next, Dr. Neil moved to Holland and opened EagleEye Performance Vision at the end of 2018.
Dr. Neil places a large emphasis on involvement, leadership, and continuing education. He stays connected with the profession through membership and attendance with various optometric organizations, especially the Optometric Vision Development and Rehabilitation Association (OVDRA), Michigan Vision Therapy Study Group (MVTSG), American Academy of Optometry (AAO), and Michigan Optometric Association. He holds several leadership roles, including the State Coordinator of Michigan and on the New Grad Task Force of OVDRA and on the planning committee of MVTSG. Dr. Neil is also a Fellow of OVDRA and AAO, demonstrating excellence and continued mastery of vision therapy.
Dr. Neil is on a mission to make vision therapy known and accessible to all, and passionately speaks in his community to groups and parents, presents lectures at optometric conferences, and actively discusses vision therapy on social media platforms. He was awarded the Making Vision Therapy Known Award in 2021. Everyone with dysfunctional vision deserves to know there is hope!
In his spare time, Dr. Neil loves spending time with his wife and best friend Sarah, and children Roland, Forrest, and Emmeline. They spend their time hanging out at the beach and staying active, cheering for all his Detroit and MSU sports teams, and training their vision therapy assistant, Lincoln. Their family is passionate about all things wellness and living the best life they can!
