Kathryn Ruiter

Vision Therapist

Kathryn graduated from Hope College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.  After a period of employment in the social work field, she entered the most full and joyful chapter of her life by becoming an adoptive mom to Malia and Caden.  Following the season of being a stay at home mom, her love of children led her to seek employment in the schools and she worked for many years with pre-school aged kids in the early childhood special education program.  This ignited her passion to return to college, and in 2024 she graduated from GRCC with a degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Working alongside the amazing EagleEye staff with the unified purpose of helping patients reach their highest level of visual skill function so they can engage in activities that are meaningful to them brings her great satisfaction.  She looks forward to working toward and celebrating goals with each patient as they gain vision skills that make life easier for them.

In her down time you will find Kathryn spending time with her family and friends, in a quiet place with a good book (cozy in the winter and sunny in the summer), jogging, hiking or walking with her dog Maizy, or engaged in some sort of activity outside including working in her flower garden and downhill skiing.
