Sarah Bouwkamp

Vision Therapist

Sarah began working with children as a paraprofessional in special education shortly after graduating high school. She continued working in a school setting after completing her Occupational Therapy Assistant degree in 2020.

She first became interested in vision therapy after discovering the huge impact vision had on her students’ ability to learn and engage in the world around them. She was eager to learn more about the fascinating work that takes place inside a developmental optometrist’s office.

Sarah enjoys finding creative ways to implement the various activities during each therapy session. She is passionate about providing individuals with the tools to be successful inside and outside of the classroom, and believes helping patients reach their full potential is one of the most rewarding aspects of being on the EagleEye team.

In her free time, she enjoys biking, playing pickleball, and kayaking with her husband, Travis. One day she would like to try her hand at gardening and perhaps add a few farm animals to their home in Hudsonville.
