How's Your Child's Vision, Really?

  • 1121 Ottawa Beach Road Suite 140 Holland, MI 49424 United States (map)

You have tried tirelessly to figure out why your child is struggling in school and why they avoid reading. You may have even had their vision tested in a standard eye exam or vision screening, only to get perfect results. Did you know many vision dysfunctions can still exist, even with "perfect" 20/20 far away?

Unfortunately, routine screenings and eye exams are designed to check for overall eye health and to determine if glasses are needed to see 20/20 far away. However, we now live in a near world!

Sadly, children think that everyone sees the same way and that they must not be as smart as their friends. This makes diagnosing the problem significantly more difficult as the signs and symptoms may not be obvious to them. Let us help sort through the frustration with you.

Join us as board-certified and residency-trained developmental optometrist, Dr. Neil Renaud, discusses the profound ways vision could be interfering with your child's ability to learn and the solutions available.

During this workshop, you'll learn:

-The signs and symptoms to look for with a learning-related vision problem

-How to test visual skills from home

-Why learning-related vision problems happen

-What solutions are available if there is a learning-related vision problem present

Lunch will be provided.
